John Switzer has over 16 years of finance experience. He began his professional career working in the technology sector, providing project financing support for the semiconductor industry. John also worked in the financial services industry as a credit officer and, most recently, as a portfolio manager, managing a ten-digit credit portfolio comprised of small cap to Fortune 100 companies.
John has an MBA from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minor in Business. He’s also a licensed Investment Advisor Representative. John is a fiduciary committed to helping individuals navigate the many investment decisions required as they approach retirement. He also continues to help support and coach those who have already retired to help minimize the stress and frustration associated with navigating the financial market.
John grew up in New England, so he is a huge Red Sox fan and a lover of fresh seafood. He’s grown to love the Seahawks as well—especially Russell Wilson because of his leadership on and off the field. John is an avid rower, and he enjoys being outdoors with his family. In the summer, they enjoy hiking the many trails the Pacific Northwest offers. They spend their time at the Seattle Museum of Flight, Pike Place Market, and Safeco Field. During the winter, they ski and snowboard as a family. They try to make it up to the mountain as least 10 times per season. John and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Beau, Max, and Mila.
